I went to Jackpot on Saturday. And let me just say --that place is CLASSY. No, but really it's not. I did have an amazing time though. I really needed a break from reality and that was a good place to go, just to see how amazing my life is compared to the people that hang out there on a regular basis. I do have it pretty easy...and I do have the possibility of a future, where as most of those people really don't have much hope at all.
Late Saturday night we decided we needed to fit in. We went back to our hotel, changed in to some very attractive velour track jackets...they screamed classy, that's forsure. Well we had not seen one attractive person all night, the moment we put those jackets on it was as if all the attractive people came out of the woodwork. And we turned a lot of heads with those jackets. EVERYONE was staring. Which was odd because even though we looked about as tacky as could be we were definitely not dressed the worst.
But velour track jackets or not it was a very enjoyable time. I'm so glad I got to go. It was a good experience and it's something I can say I've done.
I really should do my homework now...I have to work all day tomorrow, follow that with a quiz that evening, 4 homework problems to attempt for Tuesday, 2 chapters and 3 articles to read and respond to by Wednesday, and a 280pg book to read and write a report on for Thursday. Busy week :/ But I do have tickets to the Steelheads game on Saturday, (Brooke- I wish you were here to go to that with me...) so I do have something to look forward to.
Anyway, off to the pile of homework that awaits.
